Coffee Study: Inspiration

With the rise in Cafe's all across America, it's important to standout and find the attraction your business has over others. Whether it be specialty flavors, ethically sourced ingredients, or even seasonal menu changes, you would need to promote this to pull your audience in your direction. Keeping with what Cafe's need in mind, the point of this study is create abstract yet grounded animations to express the quality and beauty of a nice cup of coffee. Technical Side: A big reason to push for Coffee in this study is not only because of my love for the drink, but because as an Artist, some of the most technically challenging animations require some type of fluid sim, either liquid or fire. To start off, we need a "Control Subject". The easiest thing we can make in a 3D space is a still life portrait style image.

From here, we have our aesthetic! Trying to go for bright / modern / Instagram friendly photos with the center point being our drink. While the background seems bare a the moment, we can fill it up later with our photogrammetry setup.
